Breast Pads Review

So before I gave birth and actually needed to use breast pads, I went on and did countless research (that had my husband rolling his eyes countless times) about the best breast pads (forgetting about the safest breast pads, because breast pads have those absorbing jellies in them) and found that Lansinoh breast pads are the best out there but are said to be the most expensive. However, when I purchased them at 29 weeks pregnant, there were not expensive at all. At only $14.90 for 60 pieces, it was pretty much affordable.
So immediately after going home from the hospital I had to use breast pads because my milk came in pretty soon after all I had natural birth. Thats when I started using Lansinoh disposable breast pads.
Lansinoh (60 pieces $14.90)
2 out of 5
PROS
They are pack individually.
CONS
Have 1 tap only
Not very absorbent.
On early days I leaked a lot. Like really a lot especially at night and usually I won't have the time to change pads at night especially with a newborn! So the pads tend to crumple when they have absorb to their limit. Which then makes it pointless to wear pads. The cottons inside of the pads which absorbs the leaked milk will also crumple and one spot when it absorbs too much. Also because theres only one tape the pads tend to fold over easily and the tape is not very sticky thus the pads wont really stay put.
Mothercare (80 pieces) $16.90
2 out of 5
Not individually packed.
NO TAPE at all.
They are good if you are SAHM and will change breast pads frequently. They are pretty affordable. However because there is no tape they would move around but they are pretty absorbent.
Philip Avent Day (30 pieces $7.90)
3.5 out of 5
Individually packed.
1 tape.
Pretty absorbent, better then Lansinoh. They don't crumple up at the edges nor do the sides crumple. But the tape is not very sticky and sometimes do move.
Philip Avent Night (30 pieces $10.90)
4 out of 5
Individually packed.
2 tapes
Very absorbent
But pretty pricey, for 25 pieces they are sgd 7.90
Again the tapes are not very sticky but they don't move as there is 2 tapes
Piegon (60 pieces $18.90)
5 out of 5
Individually packed
Highly absorbent
2 tapes
They are the best. They don't crumple at all and they can absorb a lot. Pretty affordable also.
UPDATE: The Piegon breastpads i talked about in the post is discontinue. I been to lots of places and tbeg don't seem to be selling them anymore. However Piegon came out with a newer version that is called Piegon HoneyComb breastpads and they are way more expensive.
